AltaABA's Mission

Alberta Association for Behaviour Analysis (AltaABA)'s mission is to promote the science of applied behaviour analysis (ABA) in Alberta, including theory, research and practice, while fostering a culture of excellence, integrity and expertise. AltaABA will focus on advocacy and the dissemination of information regarding evidence based practice across the province of Alberta and will provide a forum for professionals to share and develop ideas pertaining to behaviour analytic practice.

Specifically, the organization shall:

  1. Serve as a scientific and professional reference and networking group for its members.
  2. Disseminate information to promote its mission to a wider audience.
  3. Organize an annual business meeting to provide a forum for discussion of the affairs of the chapter.

Strategic Plan for 2021-2023: Revised May 2022

The word "unprecedented" has been used many times in many emails and speeches to describe 2020. The AltaABA Board of Directors did not want to let this year stand in the way of our previous promises to our membership and progress as an association. In our 2020 AGM report, we discussed publishing our first strategic plan by the end of this year. We are happy to share that plan for the years 2021-2023, revised as of May 2022. It is our hope that you enjoy reading this plan and gain excitement about the possibilities to come. Any questions or feedback are welcome.

Who is AltaABA?
